Conifer Rotary Foundation:  Help us save lives in Conifer and Evergreen!

Volunteers needed for mitigating Hwy 73, our most dangerous evacuation route June 8 and 29

No one wants to be stuck in a traffic jam with flames on the side of the road. Highway 73 is our most dangerous wildfire evacuation route. Everyone on the west side of Highway 73 and many people on the east side can leave the mountains only on this road. To get started on this necessary community project, we are asking the community to help us.

On June 8 and June 29, we will be thinning vegetation for 30 feet off the west side of Highway 73 between Blue Creek Road and Surrey Drive. All seven property owners have agreed to this community service; thank you!

Asplundh is donating crew time to fell the trees, far away from the volunteers. Thank you, Asplundh!

PLEASE VOLUNTEER! For an hour to all day, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Please SIGN UP on the Sign-Up Genius https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0849AEAF2DAAFA7-49861868-hwy73evacuation or email Ann Imse at research31@gmail.com about when you are able to join us.
